A citizen of Uzbekistan will be expelled from Russia due to a mat with the tricolor.

      On August 3, 2026, 12:22 Society A labor migrant from Uzbekistan will be sent back to her homeland after an incident involving a mat depicting the Russian tricolor. This was reported by the Migration Agency of the republic. According to the agency, a plane ticket was purchased for the woman using funds from the migration fund. Her return to Uzbekistan is scheduled for August 6. Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod police discovered a mat with the image of the state flag of Russia in the woman's apartment during a migration raid. A question was being considered regarding the possible initiation of a criminal case under the article on desecration of state symbols.

      The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan reported that they are working together with the Republic's Consulate General in Kazan and Russian law enforcement agencies to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
