Two brothers attempted to abduct an 18-year-old woman from a bus stop.

      On July 27, 2026, at 16:57, Incidents In Bor, police detained two residents of Nizhny Novgorod suspected of attempting to abduct a person. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the police, on July 22, an 18-year-old local resident contacted the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Bor. The girl reported that at the public transport stop "FOK Krasnogorka" in the Krasnogorka microdistrict, she was approached by two previously unknown young men (brothers, editor's note). According to her, they grabbed her by the arms and legs and attempted to forcibly move her to the back seat of a Kia Rio car against her will. As noted by the agency, the suspects were unable to carry out their criminal intent due to the girl's active resistance and the intervention of bystanders. After that, they fled in a rented car. An investigative operational group arrived at the scene. During the operational search activities, police officers reviewed surveillance camera footage in the area of the stop and along possible routes of the vehicle. In a short time, the alleged criminals were identified and detained. They turned out to be previously unconvicted residents of Nizhny Novgorod born in 2001 and 2003. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the signs of a crime provided for by part 3 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "b" of part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted abduction of a person committed by prior conspiracy with the use of violence).
