A 16-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod was sent to pre-trial detention for attacking musicians.

      On July 27, 2026, at 16:39, Incidents: The Nizhny Novgorod District Court has detained a 16-year-old teenager for participating in an attack on musicians on the city's main pedestrian street. According to the investigation, the incident occurred on July 20 at around 5 PM on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street. A group of teenagers attacked two musicians, one of whom turned out to be a minor. A criminal case has been initiated under the article on hooliganism committed by a group of individuals by prior agreement with the use of violence against citizens (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation will be reported to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the detained individual until September 22, 2026, inclusive. This decision has not yet entered into legal force.
