The auto expert warned that "Euro-3" gasoline halves the engine's lifespan.

July 26, 2026 10:49 Society The use of Euro-3 class gasoline instead of Euro-5 significantly reduces the lifespan of modern engines. This was warned by auto expert Andrey Lomanov in an interview with the publication "Abzats." According to him, this can lead to serious problems with the operation of the car. Highly efficient turbocharged engines, which were specifically designed to work with gasoline of a certain class, are particularly vulnerable to low-quality fuel. If lower quality fuel is used, these engines will not be able to operate efficiently, and their lifespan may be reduced by almost half. The difference between Euro-3 and Euro-5 gasoline lies in the content of harmful impurities. However, it is impossible to determine the fuel class by sight, smell, or taste. Laboratory tests are necessary for this. Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod residents were warned about the risks of "gasoline pills." NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
