The Futsal Super League has registered Nikolai Khodov as a candidate for president.

      Nikolai Khodov, head of the PKMF "Torpedo" from the Nizhny Novgorod region, has officially become a candidate for the position of president of the Russian futsal super league. This decision was made by the League's Electoral Commission, as reported by the official Telegram channel of the championship.

      Currently, three candidates are vying for the position of super league president. In addition to Nikolai Khodov, the elections include the current league president, head of the MFC "Sinara" from Yekaterinburg Grigory Ivanov, and the president of the Moscow MFC CPRF Ivan Melnikov.

      Candidates for the presidency can only be nominated by Super League clubs. Voting for the new leader will take place on September 3.

      Nikolai Khodov was born on August 17, 1977, in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1999, he graduated from NNSU named after Lobachevsky with a degree in "jurisprudence"; he is a candidate of legal sciences and a full member of the Russian Engineering Academy. Since 2001, he has headed the Biochemical Holding "Orghim." Under his leadership, the holding has become a leading producer of environmentally friendly "green chemistry" products.

      Nikolai Khodov is the founder and former player of FC "Torpedo," established in 2012 as a corporate team of "Orghim." In 2016, the team became the champion of Russia among corporations, and since 2017, it has participated in nationwide competitions. Women's teams "Normanochka" and the reserve "Torpedo" were also created.

      In the 2024/25 season, Nikolai led "Normanochka" and won the Russian Cup, finishing second in the championship. At the end of the season, he resigned and focused on the development of the "Torpedo" club system.
