Families of participants in the SVO visited a horse show in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On July 11, the families of participants in the special military operation became guests of the equestrian club "Stanitsa Volnaya," where a show "Dzhigitovka for SVOikh" was organized for them. The event took place within the framework of the ecosystem "SVOy Sport" and the project "The Power of Sport for SVOikh." According to Dmitry Kabailo, the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the club regularly holds meetings for the families of SVO fighters, and their children participate in equestrian sports sections for free. The show was held with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the project office of the Center for Management and Development of Sports in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, and the Coordination Center for Supporting Military Personnel, Mobilized Individuals, and Their Families of the Nizhny Novgorod House of National Unity. Ekaterina Generalova, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, noted that the participants of the event were able not only to see demonstration performances but also to sign up for free Dzhigitovka classes. Tatiana Druzhinina, the Deputy General Director of the House of National Unity and the head of the coordination center for supporting military personnel and their families, emphasized that the center is constantly working to support the families of fighters, including organizing cultural and sports events. The equestrian club "Stanitsa Volnaya" is recruiting children for the Dzhigitovka team. Classes are held for free, starting from the age of 10. As part of the project "The Power of Sport for SVOikh," about 40 venues in the region provide free hours for fighters and their wives to engage in various sports, including padel tennis, boxing, Muay Thai, and esports. The children of SVO participants train in free sports groups at private clubs. Since 2025, a state program called "Sport of Russia" has been in effect in Russia on the instruction of President Vladimir Putin, aimed at developing sports infrastructure, promoting mass sports, and improving the quality of life. Among the program's tasks are conducting mass sports events, expanding infrastructure, and encouraging residents to meet the standards of the "Ready for Labor and Defense" complex.
