Chintsov congratulated the Nizhny Novgorod naval connection on its 80th anniversary.

      July 12, 2026 21:12 Society The Chairman of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod, together with State Duma Deputy Artem Kavinov and City Duma Deputy Mikhail Ivanov, congratulated the command, military personnel, and veterans of the military unit constructing and repairing ships of the Main Command of the Navy on the 80th anniversary of the unit. In his MAX channel, the head of the municipal parliament noted that the history of the unit began in July 1946 in Gorky. Over eight decades, more than 240 diesel and 25 nuclear submarines, 26 deep-sea rescue vehicles, and over 570 crews and acceptance teams have been prepared here. "Behind these numbers is the tremendous work of many generations of military sailors, engineers, and shipbuilders," wrote the chairman of the city duma. He also emphasized that the anniversary of the unit has special significance for him. The traditions of joint work with the military unit, established in 2018, continue today. "There is close interaction between the military unit and Nizhny Novgorod, its enterprises, veteran and youth organizations," he noted. Chintsov expressed gratitude to the veterans who laid the foundation of the unit's traditions and wished the current personnel success in service, good health, well-being for their families, and reliable support.
