The Investigative Committee is interested in the death of a teenager and a girl in the river in the Volodarsky district.

      On July 11, 2026, at 18:00, incidents occurred in the Volodarsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, where a preliminary investigation has been organized regarding the death of a 23-year-old girl and a 13-year-old teenager at a water body. This was reported by the regional investigative committee.

      According to preliminary data, the girl began to drown while in the water. The teenager attempted to help her, but both disappeared underwater and did not resurface.

      During the examination, investigators did not find any visible signs of criminal bodily harm. For establishing the exact causes of death, forensic medical examinations have been appointed.

      Currently, employees of the regional investigative committee are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, a procedural decision will be made.
