      A girl and a teenager died at a water body in the Volodarsky district, reported the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to preliminary data, on July 11, 2026, the bodies of a 23-year-old girl and a 13-year-old teenager were retrieved from the Lukh River near the working settlement of Frolishchi in the Volodarsky district. Upon examination, investigators found no visible signs of criminal bodily injuries. For the purpose of establishing the causes of death, forensic medical examinations have been appointed. Currently, investigators are clarifying all the circumstances of the tragedy. According to preliminary data, the girl began to drown while in the water, and the teenager tried to save her, after which they disappeared underwater and did not surface.
