Nizhny Novgorod MTKs may receive a grant for a solution based on AI.

      Small technology companies in the Nizhny Novgorod region can submit applications to participate in the third round of the "Development-AI" competition until July 20. The competition is organized by the Innovation Promotion Fund as part of the national project "Data Economy." The competition is aimed at small enterprises that already have experience in the commercialization of science-intensive products and a positive business reputation. Support will be provided to projects that meet the established criteria in the field of artificial intelligence and are aimed at developing technologies capable of performing cognitive functions of a human and providing results comparable to or exceeding human intellectual activity.

      Applications are accepted in five areas:

      — development of fundamental language and multimodal artificial intelligence models for applied tasks;

      — computer vision technologies;

      — speech recognition and synthesis systems;

      — intelligent decision support systems;

      — promising artificial intelligence methods for automating intellectual and physical activities.

      Winners of the competition will be able to receive a grant of up to 30 million rubles for the development of domestic products, services, and solutions using artificial intelligence technologies. At the same time, the non-budget co-financing of the project must be at least 20% of the grant amount, and the implementation period must be 12 or 18 months.

      Microenterprises and small enterprises registered no more than seven years ago, with a staff of two to twenty people and total revenue over the past three years of no more than 300 million rubles, can participate in the competition. Among the mandatory requirements are the presence of exclusive rights to the results of intellectual activity, a dedicated website, the absence of active grant agreements with the Fund under a number of programs, and adherence to the Code of Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence.

      As a result of project implementation, participants must develop and test a pilot industrial sample of the product, submit applications for the registration of intellectual activity results, and initiate the inclusion of developed solutions in Russian state registers of software or radio-electronic products.

      Additional advantage in the consideration of applications will be given to companies with the status of a small technology company (STC): they will receive two additional points.
