Andrey Gneushev met with the participants of the program "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region"

      On July 10, 2026, at 17:22, Society The First Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, met with participants of the "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program. The open dialogue took place at KUPNO as part of the fourth and final training module. During the meeting, participants asked questions about the employment of veterans of the special military operation (SMO), patriotic education of youth, the work of government bodies, and the implementation of state and municipal policies. Andrey Gneushev noted that the program participants had already undergone serious training. They studied the fundamentals of state and municipal management, gained practical experience during internships, and are now preparing to defend their final projects.

      "Very soon they will have to defend their final projects. Therefore, during the meeting, we tried to touch on topics that are truly important to them. The participants were not afraid to talk about the difficulties they face, but at the same time shared their successes. I believe that participation in the program will bring real benefits to each of them, and in the end, they will gain new knowledge and competencies," Gneushev noted.

      The discussion also included the Deputy Minister of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, SMO veteran Dmitry Grachev, and the Deputy Minister of Personnel Policy of the regional government, Elena Amosova. The moderator of the meeting was the rector of KUPNO, Ivan Kalmykov.

      Program participant, SMO veteran Vladimir Petrukhov noted that the conversation was open and substantive. According to him, the participants received answers to pressing questions, and the training helped them acquire new competencies and view state and municipal service from a new perspective. He also emphasized that many are ready to apply the knowledge gained in civilian jobs. During the meeting, program participant Yulia Nazarova presented her original song "Nizhny Novgorod Heroes." It became the informal anthem of the educational program. The "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program is aimed at supporting participants and veterans of the special military operation, their integration into the system of state governance, and assistance in employment at regional enterprises. The agreement for the implementation of the program was signed by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, RANEPA, and KUPNO in March 2025. Following the competitive selection and in-person interviews, 60 people entered the main stream of the program. Another 30 participants will be able to undergo training after returning to the region.
