Nizhny Novgorod residents complained about illegal gasoline sellers.

      On July 8, 2026, 17:51 Society Cases of selling questionable quality and origin gasoline online have increased in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reports NN.RU. Ads for the sale of fuel allegedly from "secret" tankers from abroad are being posted on social networks. After a user responds, the bot redirects them to the main group, where they are offered to contact a manager. Reviews and photos are also published there, the authenticity of which is difficult to verify. The price of fuel from such sellers often significantly exceeds prices at gas stations. For example, a liter of AI-92 gasoline is offered for 138 rubles, AI-95 for 140 rubles, diesel fuel for 138 rubles, and AI-100 for 160 rubles. Fuel is sold in cans. The container and delivery are additionally charged—up to 50 liters for 1000 rubles, and from 150 liters for free. Buyers are asked to make full prepayment, after which they promise to inform the time and place of order pickup. According to the sellers, the transfer of fuel takes place at a closed guarded site, access to which is possible only with a special code issued after payment.
