One person died and three were injured in a traffic accident involving a "Gazelle" and a truck near Pochinok.

      On July 8, 2026, at 09:15, Incidents: In the evening of July 7, a fatal accident occurred on the "Nizhny Novgorod - Saratov" highway near Pochinok. This was reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate. While passing through an uncontrolled intersection on a secondary road, a 39-year-old driver of a "Gazelle" vehicle failed to yield to an "Isuzu" vehicle with a trailer. As a result of the collision, a 55-year-old passenger of the "Gazelle" died at the scene before the ambulance arrived. Another passenger of the domestic vehicle, as well as the truck driver, were hospitalized at the State Budgetary Institution "Southern Medical Center." According to updated data from the regional emergency management agency, a total of three people were injured in the accident. Fire departments eliminated the consequences of the traffic accident: emergency services disconnected the batteries of the vehicles and washed away fuel from the roadway to prevent a possible fire.
