The driver and conductor were punished for letting a child off the Nizhny Novgorod bus.
On July 7, 2026, at 14:23, Incidents: The Prosecutor's Office of the Priokskiy District of Nizhny Novgorod has succeeded in holding accountable a bus driver who unlawfully discharged a minor passenger.
As reported by the press service of the supervisory authority, an investigation was organized after information about the discharge of a child from a bus appeared on the internet in March of this year.
It was established that an 11-year-old boy was discharged from bus No. 216, which was traveling on the route Shcherbinki - Kstovo. The reason was a non-working payment terminal, which prevented the child from paying for the fare. At the driver's request, the minor left the bus, which, as emphasized by the supervisory authority, is unacceptable under the law.
As a result of the investigation, the prosecutor submitted a proposal to the head of the transportation organization. The document was approved, and the driver and conductor of the bus were subjected to disciplinary action.
Additionally, by the prosecutor's order, the driver was held administratively liable under part 2.1 of Article 11.33 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. He was fined.
Previously, a bus driver in Balakhna was fined for unlawfully discharging a minor female passenger. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
