      The rating was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in collaboration with experts from the Federal Center for UAVs. Nizhny Novgorod Region took 3rd place among the regions of Russia in the implementation of unmanned aerial systems, it was reported at the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom-2026" in Yekaterinburg, according to the press service of the governor and the regional government. The rating was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation together with experts from the Federal Center for UAVs as part of the national project "Unmanned Aerial Systems." The governor of the region, Gleb Nikitin, attributed the high result to systematic work: projects are being implemented in the region for the use of civilian drones in medicine and agriculture, and a scientific and production center for UAVs is also operating, where more than 2,500 drones and over 2,000 repeaters have been produced. Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov presented the experience of Nizhny Novgorod Region in developing the industry at the "Regions-Drivers" session and highlighted key achievements - the interregional status of Knyagininsky University as a training center, the participation of 40 companies in an experimental legal regime, and the training of over 1,000 residents of the region in advanced training programs in the field of UAVs. The regional Minister of Industry, Maxim Cherkasov, emphasized that 20 companies have received the status of residents of the UAV Scientific and Production Center and are already implementing drone technologies: from the transportation of biomaterials between medical institutions and pilot training to urban aerological solutions and agricultural projects. According to him, the mass implementation of technologies has allowed the region to rise in the federal ranking from 25th to 3rd place. The rating evaluates the scale of UAV application in the economy, infrastructure, workforce training, regulatory readiness, and the effectiveness of state support.
