      The acceptance of applications for participation in the governor's project "It's Up to You!" has begun

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the acceptance of applications for participation in the governor's initiative budgeting project "It's Up to You!" has started, and it will last until September 1. Thanks to the project, residents of the region have the opportunity to independently determine the priorities for the development and improvement of local territories. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region aged 18 and older, territorial public self-governments (TOS), and village council elders can submit applications to participate in the project. On the website VAM.GOLOSZA.RU, residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can submit applications electronically in eight areas: "Our Roads," "Our Yard," "Sports for All!," "Happy Family," "Public Spaces," "Our Infrastructure," "Our Initiative," "Youth Policy." Project participants can track the status of their applications online in their personal account.

      Over the year of implementing the "FOUNDATION - Nizhny Novgorod Life Project" program, support was provided to nearly 18,000 families living in the region

      The Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region summarized the results of the first year of implementing the "FOUNDATION - Nizhny Novgorod Life Project" program. The program of unprecedented support measures for families started on July 1, 2025, at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin, and it aims to achieve the goals of the national project "Family." Over the year, about 17,700 certificates for receiving the Parental Basic Income were issued in the region, as well as around 18,000 "Gift for Newborn" certificates. The Nizhny Novgorod region recorded an increase in the total fertility rate (TFR) – a crucial indicator reflecting the actual demographic trend. As of May 2026, the TFR reached 1.329, with a growth of 5.5% since June 2025. According to Rosstat data, since the launch of support measures in July 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod region has topped the ranking of Russian regions for TFR growth.

      The Nizhny Novgorod region became a leader in the ranking of regions for combating the circulation of counterfeit products

      The Nizhny Novgorod region ranked first in Russia for its results in combating the illegal circulation of industrial products in 2025. The effectiveness of this work was assessed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. An interdepartmental commission to combat the illegal circulation of industrial products operates in the region under the chairmanship of the governor. Over the past four years, the region has risen from 11th to 1st place in the ranking. One of the key tools for protecting the market from counterfeiting is the "Honest Sign" labeling system, which is used by more than 70,000 participants in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Training on working with the labeling of different groups of goods complements the tools of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."

      Nizhny Novgorod specialists in the folk arts and crafts sector were awarded for their contribution to preserving and developing traditional culture

      A solemn award ceremony for specialists in the folk arts and crafts sector took place in Nizhny Novgorod. For their significant contribution to the preservation and development of folk arts and crafts, 28 individuals were recognized – members of the artistic and expert council on folk arts and crafts and chief artists of specialized enterprises in the region. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, not only are enterprises in the sector supported, but places of traditional craft practices are also developed. This aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." In 2026, extensive work was carried out to update the regional government decree "On Places of Traditional Craft Practices in the Nizhny Novgorod Region." A total of 108 places of traditional craft practices have been established in 26 municipalities. In total, 37 types of folk arts and crafts practiced in the region have been approved.

      Nizhny Novgorod residents – federal beneficiaries were reminded of the advantages of receiving medications instead of cash compensation

      Nizhny Novgorod residents entitled to federal benefits were reminded of the advantages of receiving a set of social services in kind. The regional Ministry of Health noted that the benefits of the in-kind form are most significant for patients who need to take medications regularly, as the cost of medications can significantly exceed the amount of cash compensation. Before deciding to replace the set of social services with compensation, it is necessary to assess one's health status, the need for drug therapy, and potential future expenses. Federal beneficiaries are provided with medications by prescription, and certain categories of citizens also have the right to receive medical devices and specialized dietary nutrition. Additionally, if there are indications, sanatorium-resort treatment may be available, as well as free travel to and from the treatment location. Adherence to prescribed drug therapy by citizens is a crucial factor in preventing complications of chronic diseases; this is one of the tasks of the national project "Long and Active Life."
