Evgeny Lyulin sent a congratulatory message on the Day of Maritime and River Fleet Workers.

      July 5, 2026 09:52 Society Every year on the first Sunday of July, Russia celebrates the Day of Workers of the Maritime and River Fleet. On this day, everyone whose work is related to water transport is congratulated: sailors and river workers, port and dispatch service employees, shipbuilders and ship repairers, specialists from hydrographic services, pilots, water rescue service workers, as well as teachers and students of specialized educational institutions and industry veterans.

      On this occasion, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, addressed the residents of the region with congratulations.

      "Thanks to you and your colleagues, the internal waterways of Russia and maritime transport are developing, port capacities are increasing, and the Far Eastern and Arctic seas are being explored. We are proud that more and more of our Nizhny Novgorod 'Valday' and 'Meteor' vessels are taking to new routes, transporting passengers and connecting different regions," emphasized the speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

      He noted how important it is to develop coastal infrastructure, implement digital technologies in navigation, and turn rivers and seas into powerful transport routes that contribute to the economic growth of Russia and strengthen ties with friendly states.

      "A huge thank you to everyone who contributes to the development and enhancement of safety in river and maritime passenger and cargo transportation! I wish you new successes and achievements, health, and well-being!" said Lyulin in conclusion.
