The Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Transport will terminate the contract with the carrier of route No. 118.

      July 3, 2026 11:46 Society The contract with the carrier servicing bus route No. 118, connecting Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovo, has been unilaterally terminated after violations were identified in fare payment. This decision was made by the Ministry of Transport and Highways of the Nizhny Novgorod Region following an inspection, as reported by NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" in the CRTS.

      Recall that the inspection of route No. 118 was initiated by the ministry after complaints from passengers about the increase in fare to 50 rubles. Moreover, route No. 118 is among the regulated routes, so the carrier did not have the right to raise the ticket price.

      The Passenger Transport Control Department of the Transport Systems Development Center checked the operation of buses on route No. 118, which is serviced by LLC "ATP". The inspection confirmed the sale of tickets at rates not established by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. In addition, specialists identified the collection of fares in ways not provided for by legislation.

      A notification of the contract termination will be sent to the carrier on July 6. In accordance with the requirements of 44-FZ, the contract will be terminated ten days after that. A new carrier will be determined after the termination procedure is completed. Until the competitive procedures are finalized, the Kstovo Transport Company will temporarily service the route. Meanwhile, the operation of buses on route No. 118 will continue.
