More than 5 thousand "squares" of landfills have been identified on Nizhny Novgorod agricultural lands.

      On July 1, 2026, at 19:17, the Society of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republics of Mari El and Mordovia issued three orders to the lessee of agricultural land - LLC "New Era". The basis for this was the results of safety monitoring. This was reported by the press service of the interregional agency. Violations were found on three agricultural land plots with a total area of more than 20 hectares. On each of them, specialists observed unauthorized dumps of solid household waste. The total area of the clutter reaches 5,100 square meters. It is specified that the plots are partially not included in agricultural circulation and are not used for their intended purpose. The lands are located around the village of Bubenkis in the Knyagininsky district. The lessee has been ordered to eliminate the identified violations by June 14, 2027: to clear the territories of solid waste and to use the land plots for agricultural production in accordance with the type of permitted use.
