In Shakhunya, Nizhny Novgorod region, three young specialists from an agricultural enterprise received keys to houses built under the state program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories" (CDRT). The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Nikolai Denisov, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region, Evgeny Lyulin, his deputy Denis Bakiyev, and the head of Shakhunya, Anton Pugachyov. Three one-story houses, each with an area of 78.9 square meters, were built in 2025 on Semeiny Lane according to a standard project. The foundation is made in the form of an insulated monolithic slab, and the walls are panel-frame. The housing is equipped with autonomous heating, centralized water supply, and sewage systems. The houses are provided to specialists of the agricultural holding "Ruslacto" under lease agreements. If they work at the enterprise for five years, they can buy the housing for 10% of the cadastral value, and after ten years for 1%. The total cost of the project exceeded 21 million rubles. More than 60% of the funds were allocated from the federal budget, with financing also provided from regional and local budgets and through off-budget sources, including funds from JSC "Khmelevitsy" (33%). During the visit, regional representatives visited a new five-story building with 73 apartments on Komsomolskaya Street, built to relocate residents from emergency housing. The building is equipped with central heating, hot and cold water supply, sewage, and electricity, and the adjacent territory is landscaped with a children's playground installed. Currently, 10 emergency apartment buildings have been vacated in Shakhunya, improving housing conditions for 68 people. As part of the first phase of the program, another 10 residential premises housing 25 people are to be vacated. In total, about 7,000 square meters of emergency housing stock are to be vacated in the district, which affects 190 families. Work will continue through the acquisition of improved apartments on the primary market. The state program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories" has been implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod region since 2020. During this time, the volume of attracted federal budget funds exceeded 13.2 billion rubles, with another 2.4 billion rubles allocated from the regional budget. The program includes landscaping of territories, construction and repair of roads, and social and engineering infrastructure facilities. More than 300 workers from rural areas of the region have received housing under lease agreements.
