Volunteers found seven missing people in the Nizhny Novgorod region in one day.
On June 28, 2026, at 11:03, Incidents: Volunteers of the DPS Center "Lynx" conducted several search operations in the Nizhny Novgorod region on June 27 and found seven people alive, including four children. The volunteers reported this on social media. The first request came from Kstovo. It was necessary to verify information about a young man who had not been in contact with his mother, living in Sakhalin, since March. After processing the data and checking the supposed address, the group found him. Then, two parallel requests came from the Bogorodsky district regarding the disappearance of two elderly men with dementia. In the village of Ubezhitsy, a man left home while his wife briefly went to the greenhouse. The volunteers assessed the situation and began the search with the help of a quadcopter. From the air, specialists surveyed the fields and adjacent areas. The missing person was found in a grassy overgrown garden plot. Another search took place in Bogorodsk. An elderly couple went to their garden plot and got separated in the forest belt. The man did not return. During the inspection of the forest area and roads, one of the volunteers noticed a person in blue clothing in the tall grass. The man was standing among the plants and sifting through them with his hands. He was evacuated. Another request came from the urban district of Vyksa. Four children were reported missing, presumably in the forest. They left a social rehabilitation center to pick berries and got lost. One child had a phone with him. The "ECHO" direction operator joined the search. Initially, it was not possible to determine their location, but later the children were able to turn on geolocation on their smartphone. After receiving the coordinates, the groups headed to the specified area between the two villages and found the missing children. They were taken back to the center. Earlier, we reported that a Nizhny Novgorod resident who had drifted away on a raft was found dead after three days of searching. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
