Almost 2,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents found jobs at the employment fair.

The large-scale event was held at 16 venues across the region and covered all categories of job seekers—from schoolchildren and students to pre-retirees. The central events of the fair unfolded at the Nizhny Novgorod Employment Center "Work of Russia," the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Youth Career Center of the Nizhny Novgorod region "KUPNO.START," as well as at the Nizhny Novgorod campus of "School 21" from Sberbank. 330 leading employers in the region presented their vacancies, offering job seekers 30,000 job openings. "We see that the format of live communication with employers combined with modern support services yields concrete results. More than 12,000 people attended the fair. Over 1,900 of them were able to get employed directly at the venues. This is almost 20 percent more than last year," emphasized Yegor Polyakov. For comparison: in 2025, the federal stage of VYAT covered more than 10,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents, and more than 1,600 people found jobs. Career consultants worked at all fair venues. Students and young professionals could get answers to their questions about career opportunities, find internships, or secure their first job. Everyone interested could consult on training and retraining programs within the framework of the national project "Personnel." "The fair is a space for direct, open dialogue between job seekers and employers. An honest conversation without intermediaries, the opportunity to showcase oneself immediately and receive feedback are the key advantages of the fair, thanks to which many Nizhny Novgorod residents were able to find jobs and see new career prospects today," noted Igor Pantyukhin, Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region. A key tool for working with the future generation was the Career Festival based at "KUPNO.START," which gathered more than 1,000 schoolchildren from grades 5-11 and activists from the regional branch of the Movement of the Firsts in the Nizhny Novgorod region. An interactive exhibition of vocational schools with professional trials, a Lego session "Professions of the Future," and 20 various master classes from partners, employers, and educational institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region were held for the kids. An important event was the official launch of the regional parent club based at "KUPNO.START." "The doors of the Youth Career Center of the Nizhny Novgorod region 'KUPNO.START' are open not only during the 'Career Festival.' Throughout the year, any schoolchild, student, or graduate can receive a career consultation here completely free of charge. Experienced career counselors will advise on which professions to develop in order not to waste their talents but to allow them to fully unfold for the benefit of their home region," noted Roman Markov, Minister of Human Resources Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region. A separate program was implemented for job seekers aged 50 and over, which included counseling, communication with employers, psychological support, and career guidance activities. In Uren, a creative highlight was two graffiti walls created with the participation of the Mentorship Center for Teenagers "Hooligan House." The kids painted the professions they dream of in the future. These graffiti will serve as a reminder of what the younger generation aspires to, as well as a guide for parents, employers, and educational institutions. Spaces for communication and interviews were organized for veterans of the special military operation and people with disabilities. Consultants from the employment center answered questions about employment and social adaptation. "The All-Russian Employment Fair is a strategic project for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Today we are building the framework of the economy of the future, uniting the demands of youth with the promising tasks of industry. For the region, this is an opportunity not only to promptly address the current needs of employers but also to strengthen the position of one of the leading industrial sites in the country, where the contribution of each specialist works for the overall competitiveness of Russia," noted Alexey Antonov, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region and head of the "United Russia" faction in the regional parliament. The business program of the fair included blitz sessions with employers in the "Solutions Workshop" from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Participants discussed real challenges in the labor market, exchanged best practices, and developed a set of proposals for adjusting state support measures for employers. It should be noted that the All-Russian Employment Fair "Work of Russia. Time of Opportunities" has been held since 2023 by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
