Beeline told Nizhny Novgorod residents how to make home internet even more reliable.

      June 25, 2026 11:33 Society Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region have become more active in using home internet. According to anonymized data* from Beeline, in May of this year, the volume of traffic in the broadband network (BBN) in the region increased by 14% compared to last year. On average, one home internet user in the region downloaded 354 GB of traffic in a month.

      To ensure the internet works stably even under high loads, Beeline's technical specialists recommend following simple rules:

      - place the router in an open area, not hiding it behind furniture or in a closet;

      - avoid overheating the device, do not leave the router in direct sunlight;

      - for movies and games, connect to the more capacious 5 GHz band;

      - periodically restart the router and disconnect unused devices from the Wi-Fi network;

      - regularly update the router's firmware;

      - close unnecessary tabs in the browser and clear the cache;

      - expand Wi-Fi coverage using repeaters or a mesh system;

      - if the router is outdated, replace it with a model with modern components.

      Home internet remains an important part of everyday leisure: from family movie nights and gaming streams to video calls with loved ones. Last year, Beeline upgraded the broadband network in regions of Russia. The engineering team laid about 132 km of fiber-optic communication lines to improve the quality of the BBN and reserve equipment. As a result, over 1.1 million customers received more stable Wi-Fi and digital TV—even during peak load hours.
