The A.M. Gorky Model Library won the competition for charitable projects of the engineering division of the state corporation "Rosatom."

      The A.M. Gorky Model Library has become one of the winners of the charity project competition in the areas where the engineering division of the state corporation "Rosatom" operates.

      As reported by specialists from the City Department of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration, the project "The Code of Labor Glory: Youth Immersive Archive of Living Stories of Nizhny Novgorod," prepared by specialists from the A.M. Gorky Model Library, won in the "Patriotic Initiatives" nomination, thus the library received a grant to implement its project.

      "The project represents a research creative video laboratory, where participants simultaneously study the historical and cultural codes of the city of Gorky during the Great Patriotic War and create quality thematic youth educational video content," the culture department said.

      At the A.M. Gorky Model Library of the Centralized Library System of the Nizhny Novgorod District, it was emphasized that the project will be implemented "by young people for young people."

      "Participants will prepare 20 short thematic video clips 'from the first person' based on research of family archives and acquaintance with museum exhibits. The results of archival and family research will also serve as the basis for creating an interactive exhibition with elements of augmented reality," noted Valentina Mironova, director of the CBS of the Nizhny Novgorod District.

      It is worth noting that the central district children's library named after A.M. Gorky was renovated according to the model standard in 2022 as part of the national project "Culture." As a result of the modernization, residents received a new modern multifunctional space: eight modern venues with a lecture hall, media library, and comfortable conditions for people with disabilities. The visual design of the renovated library interiors featured the image of A.M. Gorky – a graphic portrait, quotes from his works, and illustrations for the fairy tale "The Sparrow."
