More and more young ambitious people from all over the country are arriving at the Nizhny Novgorod unified military service selection point to sign contracts. Specialists in UAV management are needed in the area of the special military operation. One of the volunteers from the new group with the call sign "Rocket" shared that his family played a significant role in his decision to sign a military contract. "There are many servicemen in our family. No one was against my contract; everyone wished me good luck. I have already completed my mandatory service, where I got acquainted with UAV management. I liked this field and decided to develop further while serving in the SVO zone. Moreover, friends serve as assault troops and drone operators. I really want to help Russia win so that people can sleep peacefully," emphasized the volunteer. The volunteer with the call sign "Leps" has a cousin who is a Hero of Russia. He received this honorary title posthumously for courage and bravery shown while performing combat tasks during the special operation. For "Leps," military service is a matter of honor and a question of responsibility for loved ones. "The enemy is waging a reckless war. I am confident that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon have no strength left to resist our troops. Victory will be ours because we have a strong army and brave soldiers," said "Leps." The unmanned systems troops are opening doors for specialists working with high-tech equipment. Another future drone operator with the call sign "Stank" worked as a CNC machine operator before signing the contract and is well-versed in programming. "The unmanned troops need guys who understand computers and can repair and prepare drones for battle. The servicemen of the Russian army are well-trained and fight the enemy to victory. I also want to repay my debt to the Motherland and help my country," said the future UAV operator. A distinctive feature of the contract with the unmanned systems troops is its duration—one year. Starting from June 15, 2026, the amount of the one-time payment to volunteers of the SVO, provided they sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod, has been increased to 3.2 million rubles. The monthly salary from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation starts from 210,000 rubles. Additionally, for servicemen of the UAV troops, extra payments for combat merits and for the destruction of enemy weapons and equipment are established—up to 500,000 rubles. Those who sign military contracts are issued certificates for the provision of land plots in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Regional support measures are also extended to foreign citizens who sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense starting from June 15. It is also worth noting that a mechanism for signing military social contracts operates in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which additionally guarantees the family of the contractor 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for utility payments, preschool services, and other types of support. Furthermore, individual support for the serviceman's family is provided. The dispatch of residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region to their place of service is ensured by the coordination center for supporting servicemen, mobilized individuals, and their families, operating based on the House of National Unity. At the same time, the region continues to actively support servicemen by sending humanitarian supplies to the area of the special military operation.
