The large-scale International gathering of volunteer searchers has begun in the Gorodetsky district.

      On June 13, 2026, at 16:50, Society. On June 13, the grand opening of the International Gathering of Volunteer Searchers took place at the "Sea of Sports" sports base in the Gorodets district. This year, the event became international, gathering more than 500 participants from six countries: Serbia, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia, as reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Participants can expect a rich and professionally significant program ahead. Its goal is to develop effective methods for searching for people, strengthen interregional and interagency cooperation (including with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Investigative Committee, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs), as well as exchange experiences with foreign colleagues.

      Every day, volunteers will enhance their professional skills. The program includes classes on cartography, radio communication, search tactics, organizing headquarters, orientation in the field, survival basics in the wild, and first aid.

      The theoretical training will serve as the foundation for the final search exercises, which will take place on June 15-16 in the forest area of the Gorodets district.
