The guardianship authorities took away the adopted son from a woman in Tyumen due to a kick from the grandmother.
On June 13, 2026, 16:12 Society A resident of Tyumen, Victoria Ortman, continues to fight for the return of her adopted son Timofey home. On Wednesday, June 10, she learned that the guardianship authorities would likely make a decision in her favor, but the exact timeline for when she can take the boy home is still unknown.
As reported by "MegaTyumen," Timofey was taken from the family on June 5 after a video from surveillance cameras appeared online, showing Victoria's mother hitting the boy several times. The guardianship officials took the child, and he has been in a specialized institution since then.
Victoria emphasized that Timofey is a neurodivergent child, and his behavior can be unpredictable. In such moments, it is difficult to calm him down, but she does not support the use of force in upbringing in any way.
Victoria does not understand why she should be held responsible for her mother's actions. She has been raising the child since he was five months old, and Timofey is now almost 3 years old. He requires constant rehabilitation procedures and specialized nutrition. For example, he cannot consume lactose and beef. However, as it turned out, the institution where he is currently located does not provide special nutrition.
"I don't even have a document stating the grounds on which my child was taken away. He was just taken. In fact, I am the guardian. This is a violation of the law. Essentially, I have an order, and I can take Timofey because no one has restricted my rights," the woman says.
However, for this, she needs to obtain permission from the guardianship authorities and also wait for the completion of the verification activities conducted by the investigative authorities.
Victoria contacted the police department to find out why the guardianship is requiring actions from them. The police explained that a forensic medical examination is necessary to determine the degree of her mother's guilt. However, Victoria believes that this should not affect her right to take her son.
