The traffic scheme will be changed on the new Borsky Bridge starting June 16.

      On June 11, 2026, at 21:35 Society In the night of June 16, the traffic organization scheme on the new Bor Bridge will change. As reported by the regional GUAD, two lanes will be open for exiting Nizhny Novgorod. To facilitate this, specialists will remove the temporary yellow markings and dismantle the road signs indicating reversible traffic. On the old Bor Bridge, as now, two lanes will remain for entering the city. The changes are related to the start of repairs on the roadway of the new Bor Bridge, which will begin on June 15 as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." The GUAD explained that the need for the work is due to increased wear of the pavement. In 2025, all traffic was redirected to three lanes of the new bridge during the repair of the old one, which increased the load on the road surface. To minimize inconvenience for motorists, road work will be conducted both during the day and at night, excluding peak hours. According to the agency, this will help maintain the throughput of the highway and complete the repairs by the end of June. The new Bor Bridge was opened in 2017. The upcoming repairs will be the first in nine years of the structure's operation. It was previously reported that road workers completed the elimination of ruts on the approach to the Bor Bridge.
