      June 6, 2026 16:16 Incidents The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has instructed to present a report on the criminal case initiated due to the improper condition of the road infrastructure in the village of Maloe Martovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region. As reported by the agency, the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia received a complaint about the violation of the rights of residents of the locality located in the Pavlovsky district. People reported long-standing problems with the road leading to the village. The asphalt covering in this area is absent, and the dirt road is regularly washed out. Numerous potholes and ruts have formed on the roadway, significantly hindering the movement of vehicles, including emergency service cars. It is noted that appeals to the competent authorities have not yielded results, and measures to resolve the problem have not been taken to date. A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region regarding this matter. Alexander Bastrykin has requested a report from the head of the regional Investigative Department, Airat Akhmetshin, on the progress and results of the investigation, as well as on the work to restore residents' rights to quality road infrastructure. The execution of the instruction has been placed under control at the central office of the agency.
