      On June 3, 2026, at 15:00, the Investigative Committee initiated criminal cases regarding dog attacks on children in Vyksa and Shakhunya, as reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The head of the investigative department, Airat Akhmetshin, ordered the initiation of cases based on information that appeared in the media. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident. The regional prosecutor's office has also taken an interest in the incidents.
