The "Family Safety Day" took place in Nizhny Novgorod on Children's Day.

      On Children's Day, at the year-round youth educational center "KUPNO.START" of the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, with the support of the Public Council under the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, an event called "Family Safety Day" took place. Participants included students, schoolchildren, and their parents.

      As part of the event, representatives from the regional internal affairs bodies, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, the bailiff service, the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, the Nizhny Novgorod Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the "Stop Threat" safety school, and other regional agencies organized workshops, lectures, career guidance testing, and themed safety games. Additionally, each agency presented an exhibition area where participants could familiarize themselves with the equipment and special tools used in their official activities, learn about job opportunities, and interact with employees.

      The event was represented by employees from the traffic patrol, patrol-post, canine services, and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The children, along with their parents, eagerly explored the service vehicles and motorcycles of the police, tried on bulletproof vests and helmets, examined handcuffs, radios, and other special equipment used by the internal affairs bodies. The traffic police checked the young participants' knowledge of traffic rules, while reminding their parents about the selection and use of child restraint devices. Each child received a useful gift from the traffic inspectors—a reflective bracelet.

      A highlight of the event was a demonstration by representatives of the Canine Service Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. A police dog showcased obedience skills and precise actions during the apprehension of a criminal, played by an employee of the Canine Service Center.

      In the virtual reality zone, children were able to briefly become police officers and tried their hand at managing police patrols and apprehending criminals.
