Songs, accordion, and culinary delights: the Nizhny Novgorod region celebrated International Neighbor Day.
On May 30, 2026, at 17:47, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, festive events were held in honor of International Neighbor Day. The aim of the campaign is to strengthen good neighborly relations, jointly address issues of improvement, and create an atmosphere of mutual assistance and respect. In the Soviet district, activists and supporters of "United Russia" organized an event for the residents of the village of Sakharniy Dol. Guests of the celebration performed mini-skits about neighbors, solved charades and quizzes, while the local creative group "Sudarushki" presented vocal performances. Neighbors came to the celebration with pies, pastries, and preserves from their cellars. The hostesses showcased their culinary skills and exchanged recipes. All participants of the celebration received gifts from the local branch of the "United Russia" party in the Soviet district.
Good neighborliness begins with simple things: attention to one another, a willingness to help, and caring together for the place where we live. International Neighbor Day has long become a good tradition that unites people of different ages and professions. It is through such initiatives that a true sense of community, trust, and responsibility for our yard, street, and district is formed. It is very important that residents do not remain indifferent but actively participate in improvement, public projects, and the creation of a comfortable urban environment. Nizhny Novgorod has always been known for its strong neighborly traditions, and today we see how this culture of mutual assistance continues to develop. I am confident that such actions make our city even friendlier and cozier, noted Yuri Balashov, secretary of the local branch of the "United Russia" party in the Soviet district and deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Neighbor Day was also celebrated in the courtyards of the Sormovsky district. Creative groups performed at the festive venues, and young Sormovites could participate in a drawing contest on asphalt and have their faces painted with face paint. The event was organized with the support of the local branch of the "United Russia" party.
Holidays have become a good tradition that unites residents of the district and creates an atmosphere of sincere friendship. Here, neighbors get to know each other better, communicate in an informal setting, and both adults and children find new friends. Such meetings give all participants a boost of energy and the most positive emotions, noted the head of the administration, secretary of the local branch of the "United Russia" party in the Sormovsky district, Svetlana Gorbunova.
In Dzerzhinsk, "United Russia" deputy Alexey Chubin gathered residents of his district for a large festive tea party. Accompanied by the harmonica, neighbors reminisced about funny stories from life, sang favorite songs, danced, and made plans for the future.
Such a celebration unites people, lays the foundations for good relationships between neighbors, and attracts newcomers to local traditions. May the celebration of International Neighbor Day become a good custom in every yard, shared Alexey Chubin.
