      The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, signed a decree amending the structure of the regional government. A key change will be the creation of a new executive authority — the Ministry of Protection of Facilities in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. This ministry, along with the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the region, will be overseen by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Tuzhilin, who is moving from the block of Deputy Governor Sergey Morozov to the block of Deputy Governor Sergey Polovnikov. Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Zharov, who oversees issues related to the special military operation, will transition from the block of First Deputy Governor Andrey Gneushev to Sergey Polovnikov's block. According to Gleb Nikitin, functions related to the region's contribution to the country's defense capability and ensuring the safety of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, including assistance to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the protection of facilities in the communal energy complex, will be concentrated in a single block. A position of Deputy Prime Minister overseeing the activities of the State Housing Inspection, the State Technical Supervision Inspection for self-propelled machines and other types of equipment, as well as the management of the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites, will be directly subordinate to the governor. Furthermore, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Forestry and Protection of Wildlife, and the Regional Tariff Service will come under the authority of Deputy Governor Sergey Morozov. Gleb Nikitin noted that the changes are due to the consolidation of functions related to security and correspond to the current tasks of the region and the state. Information about candidates for the positions of Minister of Protection of Facilities in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Deputy Prime Minister overseeing the State Housing Inspection, the State Technical Supervision Inspection, and the State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites will be announced later.
