The decision was made at a meeting of the city duma. As reported by the director of the finance department of the city administration, Yuri Mochalkin, the growth is ensured by inter-budget transfers amounting to 137 million rubles and the city's own revenues of 300 million rubles. Additional funds will be directed to a number of priority tasks. In particular, 40 million rubles are allocated for the construction of a tunnel in the Pochainsky ravine, 19 million for emergency restoration repairs of the Zelensky descent, 90 million for the payment of the buyout cost of housing during resettlement, and others. After the adjustment, the revenue part of the budget will amount to 79.2 billion rubles, and the expenditure part will be 82.3 billion rubles. A deficit is planned at the level of 3 billion rubles. The mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, emphasized in his Max channel that when adopting new expenditure obligations in the current economic conditions, the city authorities "carefully prioritize" and control the execution of contracts. According to him, a review of expenditures has begun. It is planned to save funds by reducing costs for organizing cultural and mass events. At the same time, as the head of the city noted, "we do not refuse any city holiday - all of them will be held, but with the necessary reassessment." The 1.2 billion rubles released as a result of optimization will be directed to fulfill social obligations, including support for participants of the SVO and their families, road maintenance, metro operations, repair and maintenance of stormwater drainage, as well as eliminating the consequences of soil subsidence at the Zelensky descent and near the metro bridge.
