The Investigative Committee opened a case after the death of an elderly electrician from an electric shock in Bor.

      May 22, 2026 18:14 Incidents A criminal case has been initiated regarding the death of a worker in Bor. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The case has been classified under part 2 of article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "violation of labor protection requirements resulting in the accidental death of a person." The tragedy occurred on May 18 at the production site of LLC "Bulat." During work to extend an electrical cable, a 68-year-old electrician was electrocuted. The man died on the spot from his injuries. Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident. As part of the investigation, a legal assessment will be made of the actions of officials responsible for ensuring compliance with labor protection requirements during the work.
