The owner of the dog that attacked the child was fined in Gorodets.

      On May 21, 2026, at 19:58, Incidents: The court issued a verdict against a resident of Gorodets, whose dog attacked a child and caused serious harm to the girl's health. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The incident occurred in July 2025 in Gorodets. According to the police, a woman born in 1982 was in a public place and had tied her American Bully dog to a tree with a leash.

      At some point, the animal broke free, ran up to a nearby child, and bit the girl.

      Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Causing serious harm to health through negligence."

      The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that investigators from the inquiry department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Gorodetsky" conducted a series of activities to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the severity of the injuries sustained by the child.

      As a result, the court found the dog owner guilty and imposed a fine of 50,000 rubles.
