A quality control laboratory has been opened in Nizhny Novgorod.

      A laboratory for "Automated Measuring Systems and Complexes" has opened in Nizhny Novgorod, created jointly by the company "Norgau Russland" and NGTU named after R.E. Alekseev. The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chairwoman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ekaterina Solntseva. The launch of the facility took place as part of the All-Russian Robotics Forum "Industrial Robotization: From Strategy to Implementation," which gathered more than 100 experts, scientists, and representatives of industrial enterprises from various regions of the country in Nizhny Novgorod. The laboratory is equipped with a stationary coordinate measuring machine, video measuring and inspection microscopes, a metrological projector, dynamometric tools, and manual measuring instruments. All measuring instruments have passed state certification and are accredited in the Federal State Information System (FGIS) "Arshin" of Rosstandart. The facility will operate in a collective use center format. Regional enterprises will be able to conduct product audits here, while students will gain practical skills working with modern equipment. The laboratory is integrated into the educational process and scientific activities of NGTU, and programs for advanced training and retraining of engineers are also planned to be implemented based on it. As noted by Ekaterina Solntseva, the creation of the laboratory is aimed at ensuring continuous quality control at all stages of production. Acting Rector of NGTU named after R.E. Alekseev, Sergey Dmitriev, emphasized that the center's capabilities will accelerate experimental design developments and conduct high-precision incoming and outgoing product control. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LLC "Norgau Russland," Valery Kostyuchenko, stated that the equipment allows for the automation of measuring processes and improves product quality. The laboratory will also work in the interests of participants in the Nizhny Novgorod Center for the Development of Industrial Automation, being established on the basis of the polytechnic university. In 2025, NGTU named after R.E. Alekseev, with the support of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center," became the winner of the competition to create a center for the development of industrial robotics. The project received 295 million rubles in grant support.

      The period from 2022 to 2031 has been declared by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, as the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
