The motorcycle season 2026 has started in Nizhny Novgorod: what you need to remember

More than 2,500 bikers from the Nizhny Novgorod region and other regions of Russia participated in the event, reported the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. The motorcycle rally took place along the route Dzerzhinsk - Kstovo - Nizhny Novgorod. The column of motorcyclists started from the "Sovcombank Arena" stadium. The event concluded in Victory Park, where an entertainment program was prepared for the participants. During the season opening, Deputy Head of the City Traffic Police Andrey Gruzdev urged motorcyclists to adhere to traffic rules. He reminded that during the summer period, traffic police officers increase control over motorcycle drivers and conduct preventive measures. The traffic police also reminded the main safety rules for motorcyclists. Before the start of the season, drivers are advised to check the technical condition of their vehicles, including brakes, steering, electronic systems, and tire condition after winter storage. Additionally, motorcyclists are advised to use full protective gear - helmet, gloves, special footwear, and protective jacket. Riding a motorcycle is only permitted with the appropriate category of driver's license. Drivers were also reminded of the necessity to turn on low beam headlights or daytime running lights even during daylight hours. Inspectors request special attention to be paid to choosing a safe speed and maneuvering, taking into account the condition of the road surface. Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or fatigue is unacceptable. At the same time, motorists are asked to be more attentive to motorcyclists on the road and consider their increased vulnerability.
