According to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court, the parents of the serviceman divorced shortly after the child's birth. According to the case materials, the father subsequently did not maintain a relationship with his son and did not participate in his upbringing. The court also established that the man evaded fulfilling parental duties. After reviewing the circumstances of the case, the court concluded that the defendant cannot claim social support measures provided for the parents of deceased servicemen.
