      "It is clear that it is impossible to please everyone, and everyone will have their own associations with the name 'VOLGA-Arena.' But personally, my first thought was not about cars, but specifically about the Volga - our river, which is largely a symbol of Nizhny Novgorod and the entire region. I think this is a quite logical and understandable name. For example, the stadium 'Nizhny Novgorod,' which was later named 'Sovcombank Arena' - someone might associate it with the bank too, but personally, I perceive it exclusively as a reference to the city. Here, in my opinion, it is the same story. The Volga is what is directly connected to Nizhny Novgorod, so why not name the arena that way? Moreover, there are already similar examples: in Kazan, for instance, the stadium is called 'Kazan Arena,' and this has long been perceived as completely normal. We already have the 'Nizhny Novgorod' stadium, and now there will be 'VOLGA-Arena.' In my opinion, the name is good and quite reflects the identity of the region," noted Sergey Karacharov.
