Alexey Podalinsky will continue to coach "Chaika" for another two seasons.

      The head coach of "Chaika," Alexey Podalinsky, will continue to work with the team for at least another two years. The 53-year-old specialist has signed a new agreement with the club.

      Recall that Podalinsky joined the coaching staff in November 2025, and already in January took over the team after the resignation of Alexey Tomilov. Under his leadership, the Nizhny Novgorod team won the third bronze medals in the history of the MHL.

      In the Kharlamov Cup, the team showed character and fought until the last seconds. "Chaika" successfully passed the play-in stage and then managed to win series against representatives of the top three teams in the East - "Irbis" and "Omsk Hawks."

      "Alexey Evgenyevich, taking over the team in the middle of the season, was able to make the necessary game adjustments in a short time and achieve a worthy sports result. An important indicator is the attitude towards him in the team, proper communication, and approach to each individual. A two-season contract is not only a sign of professional recognition for the head coach but also the necessary time for the development of our young talents, bringing them to the first team in collaboration with the coaching staff of 'Torpedo'," commented the new contract by the general director of "Torpedo," Evgeny Zabuga.
