Nizhny Novgorod social workers congratulated ambulance staff on the holiday.

      On April 28, 2026, at 09:57 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents congratulated ambulance staff on their professional holiday, which is celebrated on April 28. The event was organized by social district officers. It brought together people of different ages who expressed their gratitude to the medical workers for their daily efforts.

      On the eve of the festive date, social district officers held a master class on making greeting cards for ambulance staff. Both children and adults participated, uniting several generations in a common good cause. Participants created cards by hand, wrote warm words of support and gratitude, and added drawings and personal wishes.

      On the day of the holiday, social district officers, along with children and residents, visited the Avtozavodskaya ambulance station. There, they personally handed the medical staff the cards and small symbolic gifts.

      Event participant Yegor Zuev shared that he wished ambulance doctors would get less tired and that everything would be well for them. "Thank you for helping people every day. We tried to make the cards beautiful so that the medical staff would feel appreciated," he said.

      According to social district officer Marina Omelchenko, it is important for residents to be able to thank those who save lives every day, not just in words but also in person. "Together with the residents, we prepared cards and small gifts for the ambulance staff. This was our way of expressing deep respect for this profession," she added.

      Medical workers thanked the social district officers and event participants for their attention. Station manager Alexander Kondratiev noted that support coming from the heart, especially from children, is very valuable. "This is really important for us and lifts our spirits," he emphasized.

      Paramedic Yuri Sokolov admitted that after fifteen years of work, he received a card from a child for the first time in honor of the professional holiday. According to him, it was especially pleasant.

      Social district officers became the organizers of the meeting, uniting residents and medical workers. Such projects strengthen neighborly relations, engage people in public life, and help build a trusting dialogue with socially important services.

      The "Social District Officer" project is being implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod region at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. It aims to establish direct and clear communication between residents and authorities. Social district officers help citizens solve everyday issues, provide consultations on support measures and current programs, and also formulate systemic requests from residents for further processing at the decision-making level.

      A key feature of the project is personal interaction with the population and the development of local communities through participation in socially significant initiatives. This approach increases the accessibility of assistance, helps overcome digital inequality, and strengthens trust in government institutions.
