The Oka embankment in Dzerzhinsk has been damaged again: a section of the promenade, renovated five years ago, has slipped into the water. A similar incident was recorded in 2024, however, restoration work could not stop the process of destruction of the coastal zone, as reported by "nn.ru".
Information about the incident was received from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. As clarified by the agency, the ground subsided at a distance of five kilometers from the settlement of Kolodkino, and there are no casualties as a result of the incident. "The site of the subsidence is cordoned off. An operational group from the local fire and rescue service, the administration, and district power grids has been organized in the emergency threat zone," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. Recall that on April 17, 2026, a large crack appeared in the wall of a three-story residential building on Engels Street in Balakhna. Due to the rapidly increasing damage, emergency services evacuated 20 residents, including two children. No one was injured.
