In memory of the heroes of the Special Military Operation: All-Russian competitions in combat sambo took place in Kstovo.

      April 19, 2026 15:19 Sports In Kstovo, the All-Russian competitions in combat sambo were held in memory of the fighters of the special military operation. The tournament took place at the International Academy of Sports.

      The competitions were organized with the support of the governor and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as the command of the Moscow Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

      On April 18, preliminary matches were held on the mats of the academy, after which the winners and prizewinners were determined in the finals. Athletes competed for awards in seven weight categories: up to 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, and over 98 kg.

      More than 400 athletes from 30 regions of Russia participated in the tournament.

      The winners of the tournament earned the right to be awarded the sports title of "Master of Sports of Russia in Sambo."
