Young traffic inspectors of Dzerzhinsk demonstrated a high level of knowledge.

      Once again, the Palace of Children's Creativity hosted young road traffic activists. This time, the city competition "Safe Wheel" took place here, where teams of Young Traffic Inspectors (YUID) from various educational institutions of Dzerzhinsk demonstrated their knowledge. Just at the beginning of last week, an award ceremony for participants of the city competition "The Road Through the Eyes of Children" was held at the Palace of Children's Creativity (which was detailed by "Dzerzhinskye Vedomosti"). And on April 10, after the ceremonial start in the foyer of the palace, each team received a route sheet indicating the stations they needed to pass on the way to victory. The kids presented their team's introduction, took tests on traffic rules, demonstrated first aid techniques on a mannequin, and placed safety signs on an interactive map of the city. The most exciting and spectacular stage was the mini-auto town set up in the gym. An improvised intersection with working traffic lights, road markings, and sidewalks was presented to the participants. Half of the team took on the role of pedestrians, while the other half rode bicycles. A total of 11 teams (four people each) from the city's educational institutions participated in the competition. The performances of the kids were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of the head of the YUID association, Ekaterina Piminova, the traffic safety promotion inspector of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Dzerzhinsk, Svetlana Gerasimova, and the head of the driving school "Avtolist," Lyudmila Istomina. The experts noted the high level of preparation of the kids and their responsible attitude towards traffic rules. As a result, the first place in the competition was taken by the YUID team "Traffic Light" from Lyceum No. 21, second place went to the young traffic inspectors from the Orthodox Gymnasium ("Friends of the Traffic Police"), and the third prize was awarded to the kids from School No. 32 ("Road Patrol"). All participants of the "Safe Wheel" received diplomas for active participation and were also treated to a sweet gift – ice cream, which especially delighted the kids on a spring day.

      And Lyceum No. 21 also received a ticket to the regional stage of the All-Russian competition for young traffic inspectors "Safe Wheel." Let's wish the kids good luck.
