The statement was published by the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media. According to the Russian Orthodox Church, posters inviting participation in processions organized by unidentified individuals are circulating on the internet, messengers, and social networks. The events are announced in several cities across the country, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Samara, Chita, Ufa, and Vladivostok. The Church emphasized that Easter processions are purely prayerful in nature and should not be used to express political positions. "The celebration of Easter is meant to unite believers, not to divide them with political slogans," the message states.
