      April 10, 2026 17:34 Economy The construction readiness of the duplicate of Gagarin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod has reached 47.82%. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Transport. The agency noted that the project was presented as part of the 22nd annual conference of the "RADOR" Association, which took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The duplicate includes the second, third, and fourth phases of construction. The last phase is expected to connect Novinki and Fuchik Street in the Avtozavodsky District — for this, the construction of a bridge over the Oka River is planned. As of today, the second phase of the first stage is 38.29% complete, and the second stage is 60.95% complete. The readiness of the third phase is 53.14%. The project documentation for the fourth phase has already been developed, and key approvals have been obtained, with consideration at the government level ahead. It should be noted that the project is being implemented under a concession agreement dated December 2, 2023. The length of the new highway will exceed 12.3 km. The construction period is estimated at 4.5 years. The total investment volume is estimated at 64.4 billion rubles, and the concession period is 30 years and 9 months. The concessionaire expects to complete the second and third phases ahead of schedule. Traffic on the third phase is planned to open by September 30, 2026, and on the second phase by June 30, 2027. The implementation of the fourth phase with the bridge over the Oka will begin after attracting federal co-financing.
