Nizhny Novgorod youth are invited to the project "Professional Development."

      The presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities" announces the start of the fourth season of the "Professional Development" project. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can look forward to educational programs, internships at leading companies in Russia, and the opportunity to build an individual career path.

      Today, more and more young people face difficulties when choosing a profession and starting their careers: according to research, 40% experience challenges when entering the labor market, and 44% note a lack of accessible educational opportunities. The "Professional Development" project helps young people make their path to a profession clear, accessible, and systematic.       "Over three seasons, more than 200,000 talented individuals from 89 regions of Russia have joined the project. It is important for us that behind the numbers are real stories of young people: they gain experience, find jobs, build careers, and develop in their professions. This work is structured as a systematic model of support for youth: we help develop human capital and create conditions for the career development of young specialists, assist universities in strengthening the training of graduates, and help participants become competitive even before entering the labor market. The project collaborates with more than 250 employer partners—leading companies in the country interested in young talent. This demand from the labor market is what we take into account, enhancing opportunities for participants' professional starts.       Young people in the Nizhny Novgorod region actively participate in the "Professional Development" project of the Presidential Platform "Russia - a country of opportunities": 5,460 people have joined the project over three seasons. In the new season, young people have access to online training, career recommendations, internships, and the opportunity to participate in in-person events across the country.

      The "Professional Development" project of the Presidential Platform "Russia - a country of opportunities" collaborates with hundreds of companies across the country where internships can be completed, providing real experience and first career offers. For young specialists, this is an opportunity to learn and immediately try themselves in their profession. Over three seasons, every fourth user of the job catalog from the "Professional Development" project received an offer to undergo an internship after an interview. In the new season, exclusive opportunities open up for participants—work at the largest federal platforms.

      In 2026, participants in the "Professional Development" project will have the opportunity to discuss their career plans and receive feedback from experts, as well as to form a clear strategy for professional development thanks to career support. During the implementation of the project, participants have already received more than 102,000 personal recommendations, confirming the demand for such a format.

      The project contributes to increasing the attractiveness of regions for personnel through in-person events in the format of Professional Development Days, where students, young specialists, employers, HR, and experts meet. Participants can communicate directly with company representatives, ask questions, present themselves, and find opportunities for internships and employment. One of the key activities of the Professional Development Days will be in-person hackathons, where young people formulate the conditions they need to work in the region, what formats of employment and development interest them. The best initiatives become the basis for management decisions in the regions. Sociological research on career expectations and barriers faced by youth when entering the labor market will serve as the basis for discussion at the hackathons.

      In the fourth season, the range of educational programs from project partners is expanding. Practical-oriented training programs from the "MIF" publishing house and the Russian Society "Knowledge" are already available: they focus on developing personal effectiveness skills, working with text, developing thinking, and financial literacy, as well as modern educational and digital competencies—from digital hygiene to working in conditions of artificial intelligence development.

      The "Professional Development" project opens up opportunities for participants to start confidently and develop. Nationwide educational and youth events are held at the workshop, including the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Territory of Meanings."

      At leading universities in the country, the Presidential Platform develops Competence Centers, where students undergo diagnostics of their super-professional skills and receive tools for their development.
