40% of residents of Nizhny Novgorod dream of flying into space.

      April 11, 2026 08:03 Society 40% of surveyed residents of Nizhny Novgorod would like to fly into space, while another 53% admitted they are not ready for such a journey. This data is provided by the SuperJob service based on a survey of the economically active population.

      Men dream of flying noticeably more often than women — 50% versus 31%. Interest in space is also higher among young people: among city dwellers under 35, 45% dream of flying, while among those over 45, it is 33%.

      A correlation is also observed with income levels. Among those earning up to 100,000 rubles a month, 30% of respondents would like to go into orbit, while among residents with an income of 150,000 rubles or more, the figure rises to 48%. Interest in space is also higher among people with higher education — 44% compared to 36% among college graduates.

      Among professional groups, system administrators dream of space most often — 49%, programmers — 48%, and engineering and technical specialists — 44%. The least desire to leave Earth is expressed by nurses — 15% and secretaries — 18%.
