The schedule for the bridge closures over the dam of the Nizhny Novgorod Hydroelectric Power Station in April has been published.

      April 6, 2026 09:05 Society The Nizhny Novgorod Hydroelectric Power Plant has published a schedule of temporary traffic restrictions on the road bridge for the period from April 6 to April 10. The information is posted on the official page of the enterprise on social media. The restrictions will be in effect during nighttime hours — from 21:00 to 03:00. Each closure will last up to 120 minutes. However, there will be intervals of 30 minutes for allowing vehicles to pass. Drivers are asked to take the imposed restrictions into account when planning their trips and to think ahead about alternative routes. It should be noted that since 2023, major repairs have been underway on the dam bridge. During the work, a reversible traffic flow has been organized, and traffic flows are regulated using traffic lights. Additionally, a new weight and dimension control point for freight transport is operating on the dam.
